The Launch That Started Launch Karma

by Brendan Wenzel on March 5, 2011

Hey, and welcome to the first ever post on Launch Karma. I’m so stoked right now to have this up and running so that we can bring some accountability to the internet marketing industry.

Done are the days that we sit aside as the industry is hijacked by con artists peddling false promises and then under delivering on launch day. This site won’t be for everyone. Some people truly don’t care what they sell. And if you are one of them, this is where I bid you ado. This site has been developed to be the one place to find out the truth about that launch and its creators.

Now to the short story of what made me want to do this so badly.

Worst Launch Ever

I’m an affiliate marketer for the most part. There are about 50 cookie jars I’m reaching into, but the majority of my income is affiliate income. Because of that, I get emails about upcoming launches from Mike Merz at JVNotifyPro (for those that don’t care what they sell). When I see new launches come in I have a criteria that I try to stick with.

My favorite launches have a compelling offer, convert well, have contests and a product that I know will work. So when I got an email about Get FB Ads Free from Mike, I had to look into it. Wrote Jani and Alex since I’ve met both of them in person and asked why their Clickbank pay link was broken and telling me that it broke some rules. I also requested a review copy to see if what they were claiming was actually legit. Here’s that email:

Do I need to be worried that http://1.fbadsfree.pay.clickbank.net/ says “This product is no longer for sale or has been disabled due to a terms of service violation This product is no longer for sale or has been disabled due to a terms of service violation”?

I’m considering a really heavy promotional push for you guys and was wondering if I could get an advance look into what you’re offering. Having met you guys I know that you are legit, just want a good idea of what it is I’m selling and how it works.

Well, good luck guys.

Brendan

Of which, I never received a response and that had me slightly worried. However, I’ve met Jani and spoken with him a couple of times in person so I thought there was no way this wouldn’t be great. So I went ahead and after the launch went live, bought access to see what exactly it was that he was selling here. I was truly intrigued because I’m learning Facebook ads and using them to push some heavy traffic to my Facebook Pages for pennies. So if he knew a trick to get more traffic I was all ears. Especially since he was talking about free Facebook traffic. Well, it didn’t go that well. Here’s the video that just blew up on Facebook with shares and comments that started everything. (And strong language in the video.

What else can I say? Oh yeah, I know what I can say, after a short feud over getting my money back, they are no where to be found now on Clickbank. Can’t take all the credit, but I’m damn sure gonna take some. And now there page says “Sold Out”. hahahaha What a load!! Spinsters at work. Let this be a warning to all potential bad vendors, WE ARE WATCHING!!

If you ever have any trouble with a vendor, please report it to us immediately and we will help you get your money back!

Glad to see another person naming names of people who promote this crap. Hope you keep it up big time!

I’m going to try to keep up with everything. It’s a big industry these days, but once my systems are down, the liars and scammers better watch out.

I know. I think it was gutsy and ballsy, but it needed to be said. Even if you meet folks in person and shake hands. Integrity is most important.

This may have been bad, but the Stripper site was horrible as well. It blows me away that folks would do that. Integrity is not worth trading for a buck. Once you lose it, good luck getting it back.
