Late last April, Mike Koenigs and Traffic Geyser released their updated version of Fire Power, an offline marketing business model. They updated more than the content though, the new name was now Main Street Marketing Machines.
Oh boy can these guys really pick a name or what. Main Street Marketing Machines? Really? Were you watching Transformers while trying to rename the course? Did market research show that machines played well in the industry cities?
And why in the world did you make the name so damn long? Two, maybe three words max. It’s hard to put in 80 characters vanity urls in adwords and such. Not too mention the title of the product won’t even fit into the title of a Facebook ad. Make names easier for us affiliates please!! Any way, off that rant and back to the 25 sales.
So this was first big launch that I ever really took seriously as an affiliate. Boy was I happy I did! After about 2 weeks of prelaunch promoting and a week of closing sales the week of launch, I was looking at 25 units sold. That’s 25 $3,000 packages with 50% affiliate commissions. Are you kidding me?
There were two main methods that I used to get these sales. One was a very rough, thrown together contest from pieces of half done software and aweber. The other was good old fashion making it happen.
The Contest
Being as Traffic Geyser was the parent company releasing Main Street Marketing Machines, I thought it would be cool to give away 12 months of the Traffic Geyser Gold Plan for a prize. The whole basis of the contest was the more people you got to come to the contest the more entries you would get for the drawing.
It started out small, but after a lot of whoring it out on social media, it found it’s way to a few people that really really really wanted Traffic Geyser. They blew it up! Gotta love crowd sourcing traffic generation.
Once traffic picked up, I got the urge to make the contest better, so I contacted some of my internet marketing friends and started getting prizes donated to the contest. Naturally it grew more. End up getting over 3k or so views and most important it got clicks to the Main Street Marketing Machines prelaunch content.
The Hustle
On the last day of the contest, I released my bonus offer and gave bonus points for people that got clicks to a link that redirected to my bonus page. What a fantastic idea that was! Had people contacting me on Skype all day when the cart opened talking about bonuses.
At this point, it was me convincing people why they wanted to get my bonus and buy through me. Was talking to a lot of internet marketers, so they knew they could get big bonuses and such. Beauty was that not everyone even took me up on my bonuses.
All in all, I ended up netting over 10k after all expenses that were involved. My previous high before this was $2,000 in a month net, so I was extremely happy with that outcome and I haven’t looked back since. Actually been learning more about the process and how to apply out of the box marketing to these major launches.

Great lessons Brendan. You’re on your way.
Brendan, this is what I’m talking about! The HUSTLE!!! So many folks never even try. Here you are playing with the “big boys.” Love it! They are in good company. Holla!
That’s pretty cool, and netting 10k from a launch that isn’t yours is always nice! Keep up the great work man, let me know how I can help too!

25 big ticket items in April. I think you need to do it this April too! Seriously, 5 years ago, did you ever think you would have a month like that?
